Musical highlights include playing at the NAC in Ottawa and Disney World in Florida. Music became a serious hobby for Mike when he was recruited at age 17 to join the “pit band” for the Mississippi MUDS musical show (from Carleton Place) which performed at halls throughout the Ottawa valley. Progressed into Rock & Roll/Blues with locals bands including Down For The Count, Whatever Works and The Webtones.

Milestones include opening for Great Big Sea, playing with the Colin James Band and performing in front of 5000 people at GM place in Vancouver.

Influences include The Glen Miller Orchestra, Down Child Blues Band, Albert Collins and the Ice Breakers, Powder Blues and Delbert McClinton.

As a teenager growing up in the 70's, he admits being a sucker for disco…

"I loved the horns in KC & the Sunshine band. Someday I hope to grow my hair long and become their sax man. Disco is coming back you know!!"
